We’ve all heard how important writing down our goals is. But have you ever wondered why? A recent study instructed college students to write down their objectives, many of which involved completing their studies. The results revealed that those students who put their goals in writing were more likely to succeed academically.
It thus appears that the goal-setting intervention assessed in this study has a strong salutary effect, improving academic performance and decreasing drop-out.
Jack Canfield mentions that only 10% of people actually have their goals written down somewhere. If putting pen to paper is such an easy fix for our future, then let’s get writing!
